7SINS RX7 attended a private track day at WSID, organised by Shane 1JZ 747 and Blacktrack Performance.
We had a total of 8 runs on the day, testing once again for the Super Gas class. First few runs were too slow then a few too fast, then on the 7th pass we managed a 0.08 reaction with a 9.901 ET.
Data was gathered throughout the day, which we can use when we drag race again under competition conditions.

End of week stress relief!
We will be gathering data to better our chances at the 9.90 fixed index for the Super Gas class.
Results: 9.961 @ 139MPH, 10.014 @ 139MPH, 9.899 @ 138MPH
One of ANDRA’s mainstream events, the Fuchs Nationals, will be held over 3 massive days- 11th/12th and 13th of September at WSID. All of Australia’s top teams will be there representing all drag racing classes.
We have given Super Sedan the flick this time and are trying our hand at Super Gas - which is reserved for full-bodied cars using a fixed index set at 9.90 seconds, with heads up, pro starts.
If we come through Jamboree unscathed, we will be testing on the 5th of September, to dial our car into the 9.90 fixed index.
There is alot of drag racing ahead, note it in your diaries and see you there!

Less than a month to go for the biggest Sport Compact event in oz. Willowbank Raceway Queensland is the stomping ground with the weekend August 29/30 the set dates.
Plenty of cars have been running their best in the last few months (while others have had transmission issues), so racing will be at its best with records bound to broken this time around.

Yep, it’s on again. WSID is the track and Mega bucks is the game. This is the third year for this event, and hoping to get further than 3rd elimination round on this occasion.
Sunday, June 28th is the date, action heats up early, so don’t be late!

*edit: Event was cancelled during first round of eliminations due to the rain (again!). Best was 9.6ET on the second qualifying run.

Next event is the 6th round of the WSID track championship.
Held on Sunday, the 31st of May, we will be racing with the newly installed Microtech LT16 ECU, a newer style of Bosch coils, and a new set of slicks.
Should be a good day of racing.

*edit* Event was postponed to the 20th June due to the weather. We may not be racing anyway due to an unexpected gearbox component failure a couple of weeks ago.
On the weekend of April 18th and 19th, we attended the annual ‘Tin Top Titles’ event at Willowbank Raceway, Queensland. We decided to go to this event rather than the K’Archer Nitro champs in Sydney as it was a 2 day as opposed to a 3 day event, and it was a good excuse to get away from work for a few days, with a days travel to and from the event, and the fact that willowbank generally runs large events alot more smoothly.Plus the fact that Mini Jam wasn’t an option in the Sport Compact Group series this year. 7SINS attended the Full throttle Friday at WSID, on the 27th March.
These events gives ANDRA license holders an opportunity to do some runs in order to test, or to just have some end of week fun. They are run in the evening to take advantage of cooler air temperatures.
With the new motor in place, we are finally seeing the consistency that we have been chasing, with back to back 9.5 @ 142MPH runs.

Compak Attak was a very good event. Despite rain in the days prior, it was bright and very warm on race day. A late start, but minimal delays ment a full day of exciting racing up to the scheduled close for the large number of fans who turned up to watch.
The new motor performed very well, with no mechanical failures or problems (just with the driver at eliminations time!)

Compak Attak is on this Sunday, 15th of March. Competitor numbers are a couple of numbers shy of 200. This is huge!
Fingers crossed that the last minute installation of the new motor goes without a hitch, and that we get it run in and tuned. No pressure Justin!
